With over 500 hours of of teaching experience, John has reached dozens of SAT students nationwide previously through Varsity Tutors, Wyzant, Tutors.com, and 35 Academy. After maintaining a consistent 5 star rating on all these platforms, John was awarded the Top 10 Tutor Award by Tutors.com for ranking among the top six percent of all professional tutors.
As a private tutor, John has overseen countless students exceed their SAT and college goals. He never gives up on students, insistent on developing the entire person from sharpening SAT skills to igniting a spark for learning. His multifacted approach has increased scores up by 340 points and acceptances to top schools such as USC.
As an undergraduate, John assists in machine learning research at Rice University and he studies Computer Science at the University of Texas at Dallas on a full-tuition Academic Excellence scholarship. John scored a 1510/1600 on his SAT with a 23/24 Essay score. He received the AP Scholar with Distinction award and over $150,000 in scholarships for his academic merit and community impact.
John is looking for part-time SAT teaching assistants who can proctor weekend exams, administer problem sections, and write prep material. Minimum score of 1500 is preferred.
